Suzanne's Story
Life
I left high school at the end of my junior year, got my own apartment in Citrus Heights, and worked my tail off for several years. I met the man who would become my husband two years later. We had our first child (a son) that summer of 1992. We had moved to Elk Grove a month before our son was born, and still live there today. Our first daughter was born in 1996, and our second daughter in 2002. We are finished having children!!
My husband has been very involved in several aspects of his career, and in the summer of this year (2005) I am going back to college to earn my nursing degree. The kids will all be in school full time by the time I am finished with school, and then I'm free to pursue my dreams. Be...Expand for more
ing a stay-at-home mom for the past 13 years has had it's rewards, but I think now it's my turn to achieve my goals. I also went back to night school to finish up that diploma that was sitting out there waiting for me.
Now, our family is contemplating a move form California to the Niagara area of upstate New York or perhaps even Massachusetts. Hopefully, within the next few years we will finally feel ready to branch out on our own, and start a new life someplace completely new to us! I must say that I never thought that I'd want to leave CA, but there doesn't seem to be an important enough reason to stay. Besides, western New York and Massachusetts are beautiful and more affordable than Ca. Keep you posted...
